About The Landing at Nye Beach

Village Central; in immediate walking distance to the beach, parks, Performing Arts Center, shops and restaurants; this beautiful new urban gem is streetfront, wheelchair accessible, and newly renovated for your next coastal escape.

The Village location gives you the option to leave your car in its reserved parking space and spend the rest of your trip on foot, exploring the beaches, pubs, restaurants, art venues, parks and shops of Newport, or to use it as a central point for exploring the gorgeous Oregon Coast.

This beautiful space is 632 square feet, more than double the size of the average hotel room, and comfortably accommodates three adults or two adults and two small children.

The stylish brick and picket fence streetscape entrance leads to a large, open-concept living space.

The lounge area has a burnt-cedar accent wall, large gas fireplace, 55″ HDTV, and a comfortable couch that converts to a full bed, a matching comfy chair, and a rustic coffee table with added storage for games and cards.

The full kitchen features an aged brick veneer wall, custom stainless steel and John Boos butcher block counters, new appliances, and a portable stainless steel island with stainless steel bar stools.

A hand-crafted, pub-height rustic dining table is a good dining, gaming or hangout option. The custom ship’s wheel/rope lamp dining fixture is a focal point, while the pub bench and stainless steel bar stools accommodate six comfortably for games or dining.

A wall of windows offers views of the Nye Beach neighborhood, Performing Arts Center, and ocean peeks. Cafe blinds and blackout blinds are provided for your privacy and comfort.

The cozy bedroom features a new, premium-mattress queen-size bed with an alternative goose down comforter. It is enclosed on three sides, with a privacy screen on the fourth wall.

The large bathroom features a handmade Talavera sink and an ensuite closet with ample storage.

For larger groups, this property can be combined with the adjacent Captain’s Quarters (VRBO #108429900) to sleep up to 10 comfortably.

Want to live like a Nye Beach local during your stay?

In the morning, take a stroll on the beach, followed by an espresso and brioche at one of the excellent bakeries or cafes in Nye Beach. Wander through the boutiques and art galleries to find that special something to commemorate your visit, or visit one of the many excellent vintage book stores and browse through their stacks.

In the afternoon, you can rent a bike and explore, do some wine tasting at the comprehensive and reasonable wine shop the next block down, or visit the Sylvia Beach hotel mid-day to tour their themed author’s rooms (our favorite – the Jules Verne Room.)

In the evening, walk across the street to the Newport Performing Arts Center, the premier arts venue on the Oregon Coast, to catch a performance of jazz, Mozart, dance, drama or the Newport Symphony, as well as talks by visiting lecturers. After the show, head over to the latest Newport brewery the next block down for some local brews and wood-fired pizza.

Rainy day? No problem. Cozy up on the comfy couch, crank up the big gas fireplace, and enjoy some Amazon Prime and great takeout from the fantastic Italian restaurant just down the street.

If you are traveling with children, Coast Park, with a pirate ship and enclosed two-story slide, is right across the street, and Don Davis Park, with a dinosaur skeleton sculpture, gentle paved beach access, and picnic areas, is the next block down.

Experience authentic neighborhood Nye Beach living, right out your front door, in this amazing beach retreat.

“We had a two night weekend stay and the place was exactly what we were looking for. Everything worked great and the décor inside was comfortable and charming, including the queen bed !!! I’ve spend many years in Newport and have always loved the Nye Beach area and now over the past several years it’s really been upgraded and the location of this place is right down the street and within walking distance of this quaint neighborhood with fabulous eateries.

Looking forward to staying here again in the future. BTW went crabbing on Sunday morning and caught a cooler full of crab in 2 hours … what a great weekend !!”

“Beautiful house with ocean sounds flowing into my bedroom. Overall I had a great experience staying here. I went with a group of my friends for labor day weekend. The description of the house was accurate and the owner was lovely. The house is stylish, clean, conveniently located and well furnished. I particularly enjoyed the hot tub. there’s nothing like relaxing in a hot tub after a fun day on the beach. Everything is walkable – downtown, the bean, restaurants, bars, stores etc. There are multiple bathrooms/bedrooms/ and balconies. The host was available, friendly and very helpful. Excellent customer service”

“We got there and the place was just gorgeous. It looked exactly like the pictures, and was very conveniently located near the cute Nye Beach area, and with a view of the ocean. We went inside, and not only was clean and very nicely put together, it also had a little s’mores kit and welcome note waiting for us, as a special treat for the holiday weekend! In addition to the high level of customer service the owner, Lauri, had already provided prior to our stay, the note was so sweet! The house was so fun to stay in- the rooms were so comfortable and had a set of robes in each, the hot-tub is so relaxing on it’s own little closed in patio, and the hidden game/tv room was an absolute hit with the whole group!! We spent every night in the hot tub, and watched movies on the huge pull-down projector screen she had set up in the game room. There is a view of the ocean from nearly every room in that house- 100% staying there again if we’re ever back in Newport!”
